Films made for television
I started this category because I couldn't decide whether these works should be on the film page because they're not part of a series, or on the telly page because they were broadcast instead of released in theaters.

This page will expand as I get to see more!

The Second Coming

This was basically a mini-series (shown over two nights on TV), though it's not much more than two hours long. It was written by Russell T. Davies, and is the reason Davies thought of Chris for Doctor Who, and the reason Chris was interested in doing Doctor Who.

Review: Though it took me a little while to get into it, I have to declare it absolutely fantastic. Great performances, haunting music, and an incredible ending. I'm not going to tell you anything more about it, because I wouldn't want to spoil it.

Chris's role: He's the son of God. Always was, but didn't realize it until one night when the friend he'd been in love with most of his life got drunk, kissed him, then apologised and left him alone in the street.
He's also a big nobody. Barely passed in school, worked in a video store, and hardly even dated (though not for lack of trying). But the Vatican interpreted some Biblical prophecy that led them to him about six weeks after his revelation (during which time he was apparently wandering the moors).
Sometimes he's totally childish, in both the way we all ought to be - enjoying all the little things in life - and in doing silly things, like playing around in front of a window overlooking a gathering of believers.
Since seeing this, I understand why Davies knew he could be a good Doctor: because he could portray that innocence.

Candy: Natural accent (even exaggerated), lots of emotion, and a good death scene (hey, that's not a spoiler; we all know the son of God has to die). Oh yes, and that kiss at the beginning that makes me wish I were Lesley Sharp (the costar).
I couldn't find a lot of good screen captures, but really, throughout the film, I couldn't stop thinking how incredibly beautiful Chris is.
one of my favorite scenes; sorry, no spoilers!
